Emerging Young Leaders
The 2010 - 2014 signature program of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated for middle school girls. Consisting of four AKAdemies, the program is designed to extend the vision of the sorority by cultivating and encouraging high scholastic achievement through: 1) Leadership Development, 2) Educational Enrichment, 3) Civic Engagement, and 4) Character Building. The "Emerging Young Leaders" Program will develop skills and talents of middle school girls (grades 6,7 and 8) with potential for becoming leaders within their local communities, as well as in other venues. T-Rose Teen Program
T-Rose Teen Program is a program for local teen girls in grades 9th - 12th throughout the academic school year. The objective of T-Rose is to provide teenage girls with workshops and activities which promote academic excellence, self empowerment, financial literacy, and identification and solution resolve for current issues affecting the teen population. Additionally, T-Roses also participate in service projects which allow them to give back to the local communities. They are exposed to a variety of activities, workshops, and seminars that allow them to better understand themselves as well as the rapidly changing world. Scholarship Program
Spirited Pearls Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Chi Sigma Omega, offers academic-based scholarships to local African American graduating high school seniors who aspire to continue their education at the collegiate level.
