A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT:

On behalf of the Significant Sorors of Chi Sigma Omega Chapter, I would like to welcome you to our official website!

Chi Sigma Omega is truly Significant in Every Way!  We are the 50th graduate chapter chartered in the Central Region of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and humbly serve the southwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.  Our national mandate is to provide Extraordinary Service Programs in our target areas through the dedicated efforts of our chapter members and community partners.

Since inception, our programs have allowed us to plant grassroots designed to contribute towards the Economic
development and growth of our community, to provide tools which encourage Success though scholarship, educational training and information sharing, and to develop strategic Partners who can provide experience, expertise and business acumen by supporting our program activities.

Through the contributions from our Significant Sisters, Community Partners and Fundraising Patrons, we have successfully executed a scholarship program for local graduating seniors, a mentoring program teens ages 12-18, a financial literacy program, clothing and food drives, a reading program for grades K-3, and provided community awareness regarding health issues, just to name a few highlights.  We appreciate all of you who represent our circle of family, friends, partners, sponsors, and patrons.

Membership is the backbone of Chi Sigma Omega.  We welcome existing members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to visit our business meetings and experience our sisterly embrace.  Our chapter culture supports Significant Sisterhood through Service-Oriented Support.
